Work at Home Employer Listing and Instruction Booklet are available at the bottom of this review.

Rating:

Level of Review: Researched, and recommended from a woman who is working with them. I do not qualify for this position, because I do not have, and cannot get, high speed internet.

Overview: Customer service call handling for major companies that have chosen to outsource this service. The company has strict requirements for hiring, working, and equipment.

Product: Their product is contracted service. You provide that service through telephone and computer work.

Cost: Startup equipment only. This is a real job, there is no cost to apply or to start work if you have the equipment. If you do not have the proper equipment or services, you must get them BEFORE you apply, because they verify that you have the right level of function before hiring.

Compensation: You are paid by the hour for the time that you are scheduled for, as long as you are connected with them during that time. They state compensation at being around $9 per hour average.

Conclusion: If you have the necessary qualifications and equipment, this is certainly worth applying for. The company is legit, and the job is real. Like any job though, you cannot just apply and get it, they have a rigorous screening process. They verify and control your hours of work and pay, so you cannot defraud them. Any legit company will do this, and their policies reinforce their integrity.

They list the following requirements on their site:

  • Professional, pleasant phone presence.
  • Competent computer skills.
  • Ability to commit to a work schedule (whatever works for you!) for at least 30 days in advance.
  • Reliably-quiet home work environment during scheduled work periods (no kids or television in the background).
  • Ability to be on the Internet and on the phone at the same time via high-speed (cable or DSL) internet service (specifically one of those two types). No cell phones, cordless phones or IP phones may be used. If your family will need access to a telephone during your work hours, we recommend an additional phone line.
  • A reliable personal computer running Windows 98 or later, Internet Explorer 6.0.
  • Subscription to a reliable ISP service - we recommend an unlimited use service.
  • A telephone with a hands-free corded headset, attached to a corded phone. Headset must have "noise canceling" feature.
  • Ability to call a Denver telephone number without incurring high long distance fees.
  • Bank account for direct deposit

They also say:

"You tell us when you can work - we'll do our best to find work to meet those hours. Do you only have one hour in the morning, one over lunch, then two in the evening - on Tuesdays and Wednesdays? No problem. We can work with you. Are you looking for extra cash only for the holiday season? That's when we need help most, so let's get going!"

They recommend that you have two phone lines if your family needs the phone during your work hours. They keep you direct connected during your work hours, so no one else can use the phone during that time. You must be able to use the phone and internet at the same time (not a problem with cable or DSL), and you must have good enough computer skills to complete computer tasks while talking on the phone, and to learn their systems.

This is certainly not for everyone. But it is a true work at home employment situation - a rarity. We recommend it highly for people who can meet the requirements.

NOTE: I cannot find any mention of this on the site, but the woman who recommended this program says it is only available in Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Texas.

We have a listing of more companies that hire in a manner similar to this. Most of the companies on the list have been called and checked out by someone we know. This is a list of REAL companies that hire home workers, similar to Alpine Access. You are expected to fill out a job application, go through an interview, qualify for the position, and then punch a timeclock. There are NO known Telemarketer positions on this list, and NO companies that only hire mystery shoppers. To our knowledge there are no companies that hire porn actresses or "psychics". Most of these are customer service, employment background verification, or other types of outsourced services. More than 25 companies listed, some have regional limitations, many require a second phone line or high speed internet access.

This list comes with a special eBooklet called How to Tell the Difference Between a Real Work at Home Job, and a Scam. This booklet gives you the information you need to assess a job, and tells you what the Red Flag warning signs are that indicate that it may be a fraud. It will help you not only know that the jobs on our list ARE legitimate, but also to judge other jobs in other listings, and FIND other job listings.

We are charging for the list only to help recoup some of the costs of operating this site. Cost is $9. Buy It

If you have any problems downloading this item after payment, please email us through the form on this page: http://www.firelightbusinessenterprises.com/groupemail.htm , and we will email the files to you as soon as we check our email. We normally check our email several times a day except Sundays, or if our family has an emergency. Don't worry, if we were going to rip you off, we'd want a lot more than $9 to risk going to prison!

Our Rating System:

No program is right for everyone. Even a rating of four or five does not indicate that you should dive in without some careful thought and consideration. Business is still risky. All reviews have the reasons for the rating clearly defined.

 - Information presented in program is accurate and factual concerning the potential of the program, program is based on sound business principles, and has good potential to provide stable income for individuals to whom the program is suitable.

 - Information is accurately presented, company focuses on selling product, but business is either more confusing, less predictable, or slightly higher risk for one of a number of reasons. Still considered a sound company and very acceptable risk.

 - Information may be confusing or misleading, company may have significant issues with program structure, support of product, or public perception and reputation. A rating of three does not mean you should not do it. It just means you need to be sure you are suited to overcoming the difficulties that the program has.

 - Information generally misleading, risk fairly high, many unanswered questions, business principles questionable, but still has some potential for actually working for some people.

 - Cannot declare that it is an outright scam, but potential for it to work is very low. Will have questionable business theory, bad reputation, excessive hype that is not backed up by common sense, or other aspects which indicate very high risk. Will always have multiple issues, not just one thing.

 - Outright Scam. Anything labeled this way is never worth any kind of risk.
